Summer Camp: Spirit Team (Ages 5-9)
Youth are invited to join the fun of learning basic pom-pom routines to upbeat music. Participants will gain coordination, flexibility, self-confidence and poise while making new friends during a fun and interactive experience. Family and friends can watch with great pride as the children perform during the Annual Faribault Pet Parade that takes place Aug. 2. Parade begins at 7 p.m.
Summer Camp: Super Hero Camp (Ages 8-12)
Join the Fun Center Camp staff for a special super hero camp event. There will be a variety of challenges, projects and super hero adventures throughout the week-long camp. A morning snack will be provided. Campers should bring a water bottle and dress to play!
Summer Camp: The Investigators (Ages 5-7)
Come join us for a summer of discovery and friendship. Youth will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of our world through arts, games, experiments, nature, exploration, stories and play. Program takes place in the classroom but participants will also have some gym and outdoor time.
Summer Camp: Treasure Island Camp (Ages 4-6)
X marks the spot as you will kick off summer with a camp full of clues. Kids can create and read maps, solve puzzles, go on a scavenger hunt, play outside and enjoy the activities that bring on summer!
Summer Camps at River Bend Nature Center
Find an adventure without ever having to leave the River Bend Nature Center (RBNC). We’ll spend the week learning new skills and meeting new friends. Camps for grades K - 8!
Summer Camps: Lil’ Picasso Art Camp (Ages 3.5-5)
Enhancing creativity and empowering young minds as as they explore different materials to make a variety of art projects is the focus if this camp! Our art camp nurtures your child with creativity, inspiration and encouragement. Kids will also have a chance to get some physical activity, engage in story-time and meet new friends.
Summer Camps: Road Trip through the USA (Ages 5-7)
There are so many amazing places to explore in the USA. So come take a little trip with us this summer in the classroom as we research information on fun facts about states, landmarks, history, food and culture. Youth will also get to complete a variety of projects and take a break from "traveling" to play some fun games in the great outdoors and gym.
Summer Camps: Safety Camp (youth entering grades 3 & 4)
Safety Camp teaches participants safety education through demonstrations, influential speakers and hands-on activities in a fun camp setting. Safety topics include water, bike, animal, fishing, electrical, farm, stranger danger and fire safety. Police, firefighters and recreation staff serve as a camp counselors. All campers will receive an informational letter one week prior to the event.
Summer Opera Camp
This camp is for talented high school vocalists with classes in diction, acting and movement; also includes college and career guidance.
Summer Reading Program
The Summer Reading Program is just that: reading that leads to fun prizes at the library. There are also crafts and other activities, as well as Fun Fridays, scheduled performances and activities at the library.
