4-H Clubs
Youth select from a broad menu of local 4‑H programs based on their interests and with the guidance of adults. There are hands-on, learn-by-doing, opportunities for everyone.
Adult Basic Education
This program helps adults improve basic academic skills to learn English, earn a GED, prepare for college, support their children financially and educationally, and gain skills to find employment in today's job market.
Babysitter Training
This is a class designed to teach students the skills and confidence needed for looking after infants and young children.
Driver Education
30 hours of classroom education are required before one can get their Learner's Permit, 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction, and 50 hours of at home practice are required before one can get their Driver's License.
Faribault Youth On Boards
Youth on Boards places high school students on city, community, and non-profit Boards and Commissions in an effort to increase youth voice at decision-making tables.
Mango Languages Language Acquisition Program
Learn a new language through the Mango Language site or app.
RISE (Realizing Individual Student Excellence)
RISE is committed to serving Faribault’s students and working with the wider community to ensure that a bright future is open to all. Through academic advising, social-emotional support and family outreach, RISE works to keep 9th - 12th grade high school students on track for graduation.
Swim Lessons
Lessons are offered for a variety of swimming levels. They begin at preschool level and progress through competitive level. Whether you are looking to have your child get comfortable in the water or refine their swimming strokes. The swimming lessons at Faribault Parks and Recreation offer it.
Teen Outreach Program
The Teen Outreach Program is an activity of MESA (Mejorando la Salud de los Adolescentes) that focuses on decreasing the gap between non-Latino and Latino teen pregnancy and sexual health. The TOP Clubs emphasize service-learning, leadership development and healthy communication as ways to help Latino teens be successful.
