Faribault Falcons Science Team
Science Team is an academic and hands on contest which encompasses all areas of science from chemistry, biology, engineering, computers and earth science. Students work in groups to test their scientific knowledge against others, as well as build equipment such as planes, towers, bridges, and catapults. This is for everyone from the builder to the scholar.
Frisbee Golf Course
Wapacuta (pronounced WAH-PAH-KOO-TA) is nestled in the south-central part of town. A favorite spot for local disc golf enthusiasts, Wapacuta boasts a 9-hole course.
Garfield Park
On the site where Garfield Elementary School once stood, is now an open green space, backstop and small playground. Sit a while on the benches near the beautiful flower garden. Connects to Wapacuta Park to the southeast.
Ice Skating and Hockey Rinks
Looking for an outdoor ice skating or hockey experience, check out the rinks at Jefferson! The warming house provides a break from the cold and a cozy spot to put on your skates. With floodlights on at night, you can skate into the evening. And the best part? It’s FREE!
Minnesota Elks Youth Camp
The Minnesota Elks Youth Camp is a co-ed camp for deserving youth of Minnesota, ages nine through thirteen. Campers experience a fun week of swimming, kayaking, boating, fishing, hiking, nature, team building, campfire skits/shows, rock climbing, archery, carnival games, team games, and much, much more.
North Alexander Park
Faribault’s largest park, North Alexander is situated on the Cannon River’s north side and is home to multiple playground structures, softball fields and picnic areas. Next to Bruce Smith Field, Faribault Aquatic Center and the Rice County Fairgrounds.

Seabury Park
Located on the east side of Faribault near River Bend Nature Center, Seabury Park offers a small playground and greenspace.
Singing Hills State Bike Trail Head
Experience the countryside on this MN state bike trail. Stop for a swim or to cast a line at Rice County’s Shagger Park on Cannon Lake - swimming beach and boat launch. Head back to town for a sweet treat continue on to Morristown, Waterville and beyond! Trailhead starts at Dairy Queen on Highway 60 West and ends in Mankato, MN.
South Alexander Park
Home to Faribault’s BMX Track, South Alexander offers a playground, picnic areas and horse shoe pits. Take in views of the Cannon River at the public boat launch.
